Such a powerful sermon in a day when the world teaches that “if it feels good, do it”! Thanks for preaching the truth that Satan does not want us to know. God will save us if we truly turn from our ways, and seek Him. However, the result of sin is suffering and tragedy that will haunt us long after our conversion.
May the Lord continue to bless you pastor Brooks as you bless others with sermons that unveil the devil’s plan to deceive and destroy the human race. Here is a poem that Lord blessed me to write entitled “The Hard Way”.
Suzie Q, how did you, make the same mistake again?
Just last year you had a son, and his name is little Ben.
Now this time you’ve met Joe Fine, and he says he loves you too;
You’re looking fat, Joe won’t be back; this cycle’s haunting you.
A boy named Fred, good thoughts were fed, from infant till high school,
A giant was he among his peers, in both stature and life’s tools.
Fred saw and new of many who let drugs derange their heads,
But important lessons he never learned, now Fred is truly dead.
What is the answer to this cycle that can kill?
Who can protect us from bad habits and our will?
There are two real roads that each life can surely take,
One road is winding, the other road is strait.
Strait is the journey that will pitfalls make us miss,
Anchored in God’s Word is the best way to do this.
Winding and uncertain is the path to lose your way,
For the road has not been proven; trial and error, you’re life’s prey.
Life is like a lamb or with dragon breath can breathe,
A life paved with kindness, or with violence will proceed.
I must say many thanks to pastor brooks,I’m from jamaica. As a young evangelist an elder gave me a cd titled( I want my church back) I listened it over and over until I could actually preach along with it while it played.ever since I’ve been on a search for C D Brooks sermons,I manage to acquire 14 CDB sermons it has been a great source of blessing to me until this very day,and that is why I’m so happy for this site,
THANK YOU! pastor BROOKS continue to be faithful so we may meet face to face one day in the presence of our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ if not Here on earth. God bless you
